Transitions.Earth advises public institutions, investors and strategy consultancies on their most sensitive and complex matters.
Cost and revenue modelling of energy assets — grids, nuclear, renewables. Project appraisal, LCOE, price scenarios, market studies.
Financial structuring of large projects, project finance, economic due diligence for investors and lenders, bankability analysis.
Tariff frameworks, support mechanisms, market design. Advisory to institutions on decarbonisation and financing the transition.
Transitions.Earth was founded in 2020 by Jean-Baptiste Vaujour, an energy economist. As a financial analyst at EDF, he worked on the financing of the group's flagship projects — including Hinkley Point C — and on the structuring of the solar project that held the world record for the lowest cost of electricity for nearly a decade.
Previously a strategy analyst at Enedis focusing on the economics of distribution grids, he is now Senior Professor of Practice at emlyon business school, where he directs the Master in Strategy and Consulting and heads the Consulting and Sustainable Transformation practice, alongside his advisory work.
On high-stakes engagements, Transitions.Earth operates in consortium with partner consultancies: teams assembled to match the scale of the matter, without diluting the seniority of the work.
